We would like to reunite with you in order to understand violence and discuss about violence since violence becomes increasingly widespread both in our country and in the world.
“National Understanding Violence Congress” has been organized by the cooperation of IMDAT- Prevention of Violence and Rehabilitation Organization and MEF University Faculty of Law for three years.
This year the congress wil be organized as an international congress for the first time. This year the main theme of the congress is assigned as “ Violence at Daily Life”. We are exposed many kinds of violence in our daily life and sometimes even we cannot be aware of know what kind of violence we have been exposed to. “Sports Violence”, “Traffic Violence”, “Digital Era Violence”, “Child Abduction”, “ Violence Against Refugees”are some kinds of violence.
We intend to approach these issues and all other areas of violence from a broad perspective and discuss the concept of violence in daily life and examine it in terms of sociological, psychological and philosophical aspects. We will sometimes address violence in terms of the victim, sometimes in terms of the perpetrator; and we will discuss on proposed solutions.
The sessions and panels will be held, and oral papers and posters will be presented between 21-23 March 2019. Also, on March 20, 2019, “Interviewing Techniques with Child Victim” course will be organized, and psychologists, psychiatrists, lawyers and forensic experts will give the course. Participants will be given a certificate of participation at the end of the course. The deadline for submissions of abstracts is 28.02.2019. For more information, you can visit www.understandingviolence.org and send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
